Service Description

Congratulations on your new puppy! As soon as you bring your pup home the learning begins. Between 8-16 weeks your new puppy is learning things that will impact them for life – good and bad. In our puppy class you will learn about handling all parts of your puppy’s body so as they mature they accept nail trims, vet exams and grooming. It’s critical this be introduced at a young age to avoid problems that many dogs and owners face. We will incorporate other foundation obedience such as door manners, leash manners, sit, down, greeting new people, jumping, crate manners and more. There is so much information and we promise to do our best to get you and your new companion off to a great start. The final class will be the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test and certification. Ideal enrollment age for class one is between 8-12 weeks of age. Please reach out to us if you get a new puppy and we are between start dates. For class you’ll need a well-fitted buckle collar and 6 foot leash. We will address equipment week 1 and help you determine additional puppy training supplies you may need. Bring your puppy to class with high value treats and/or a toy they love that is reserved for interactive training time with you. We look forward to meeting you and your new puppy.
